Discover Tea community!


Last August 11, I got a chance to attend an exclusive CBTL event in 26th Bistro. It was about tea making, and CBTL's Tea Master and Blender, David De Candia was there to guide us.



Our first activity was tea pairing and tasting, where they served us tea together with a dessert. The pairings were English Breakfast Tea and Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, Moroccan Mint Tea and Guiltless Chocolate Cake, and their new tea flavor, Paradise Blend paired with White Chocolate Berry Cheesecake.

David told us that pairing a tea to a dessert is sometimes necessary for people to appreciate the flavor of the tea more. There are flavors and notes that can be tasted in the tea when you pair it with food.

He also discussed us the origin of teas and how CBTL created a sustainable way to grow and harvest tea leaves while helping people too. We also got a chance to create our own blend as a group and compete with other groups in a quiz about what David has discussed.

It was a fun event and I got to meet new people and learn more about tea in general. :) Special thanks to my boyfriend for some of the shots. hehe
