Jatujak (cha-tu-chak) roughly translates to a weekend market in Thai, but this one's a restaurant. (well, duh) I had the experience to eat here together with my office mates before going on a make up haul. Yes, we're all girls naman. we went to SM North after work and one of my officemate suggested to eat here.

The place is quite small and is at the fourth floor of The Block. It's easy to spot I guess, it's near the restroom and ATM machine there. (lame direction giving skills, I know) the overall color of the place reminds me of Barney. haha oh and the servers there wear sandals so it gives off this laid-back chill vibe. they gave us the menu and we decided on what to order. I was contemplating on whether or not I would eat rice, I was choosing between noodles or soup but then my officemate said that the Bagoong Rice here was yummy so no noodles for me, sir. we decided to share so we ordered Bagoong Rice, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Grilled Bacon Belly and a seafood something. (sorry I forgot that one) I also apologize for not being able to take a picture of them all but I assure you they all look appetizing.
Spring Rolls

of course, me being a tea person, I got really curious with their Thai Iced Milk Tea. so I ordered one. well, almost all of us ordered it and we were quite shocked on how big the glass was when it was served. It took us the whole time to finish the tea, or sortov. I had it for take out because I couldn't really finish it and it would be a shame to leave it.
look at that Thai Iced Milk Tea with its crazy straw

Among all the food we ordered what I really liked was the bagoong rice, the bacon belly, the pad thai and the milk tea. The bagoong rice was yummy and it even had green mango slices that you could (and should) mix together with the rice and meat. I also liked the bacon belly because its not fat and the sauce is delicious. the pad thai is cooked to perfection and I would really, really recommend it as well. if you enjoy drinking tea, their thai milk tea would be an enjoyable treat for you. :)

Resto rating: 4/5
