Pancakes with Apple Butter Syrup.
I intended for this to be my breakfast, but my ever sweet grandma cooked for me that morning so I took this as my lunch. The apple was from my office mate, she gave us a bunch of apples from where she went. Since I had braces and couldn't eat it at once, I took it home.
Pancakes with Apple Butter Syrup recipe
Ingredients:
- a box of ready to cook pancakes
- an apple, sliced
- 3 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp sugar
Procedure:
- cook the pancakes according to the instructions in the box. go creative if you want and add a little color, or even designs. i stuck with plain jane circle pancakes though. :)
- for the syrup, melt the butter in low heat, careful not to burn it all up. once the butter has melted, add the apples. cook for a minute so the juice of the apple mixes with the butter, then add the sugar. make sure to mix them while cooking so the sugar dissolves. you can add more butter and a bit of water if the sugar doesn't dissolve completely. cook until the sauce is a bit sticky but not burned.
- arrange the pancakes and apple slices alternately in a plate. or you can just dump it all together and dig right in!
- congratulations, you just made a decent meal for yourself. now go and enjoy your hard work! :)
xx
