This beach trip was the "kick-off" for my summer this year. Me and my family decided to go  here at my suggestion, because I really want to go some place far and new with them.
With an ample amount of savings and a desire to relax, I made the reservations for us. I found a good deal at Metrodeal which was available even on holidays. No filing of leave for me, yey! :)

When we got to Pundaquit, it was almost daybreak. The sun was starting to rise and the sky was a beautiful blue color. After waiting for other groups to arrive, the boat left Pundaquit shore and travelled to Capones Island. The boaters said that we will only go there for 15 minutes so we could take pictures then go to Anawangin Cove after. They wanted us to arrive at the cove early  before it gets crowded so we could set up camp in the best spot. We got to Anawangin at around 9AM. The camp site beyond the shore was cool, there were pine trees that gave shade to us from the sun.

The place was so nice! The waters were really clear you can see your feet when you stand still. Although the sand was more of a grayish color, it was still beautiful and clean. What really striked me most was the view of the beach when me and my mom woke up between midnight and dawn. I tried searching Google on a term for that time, but I couldn't find any good one that could come close to the experience I had while sitting at the shore and staring at the full moon and sea for a solid minute. I think I'll call it the "peculiar hours" though. It felt eerie and magical at the same time; it was both frightening and beautiful, sirenic even. Like I was held captive by the pulchritude of it, even though I know or feel that something is or might be dangerous if I look further.

Basically we spend 2 days and a night in Anawangin Cove. I would never complain if we stayed there for a couple more days, even if it means not having any signal or electricity, for a bigger concern. Being there just made me feel so stress-free and relaxed, even my mind, I think, took a break from thinking too much.
Travelling to a new place made me realize that our world is really such a wonderful and magical creation, with so much magnificence not any person could even describe with words. I would live to experience everything all over again, so I am looking forward for the rest of my bucket list places to get ticked off in the future.
PS. I left some of the travel details out intentionally to focus on my experience, if you have questions, just pop them in the comments and I will reply. :)

xx
