Tofu and Carrots with Asian Sauce.
One of the experiment I came up with the ever-dependable tofu. tofu is really a good buy especially when you're a bit conscious on your meat consumption, it passes as the meat for any dish you'd want to try. (well, in my case, usually.) I also played around with one of my grocery staples; Clara Ole's dressings. the taste turned out generally good, and although it has a peanut taste (fact: im not a fan of them) my taste buds were okay with it.
Ingredients:
- tofu, cut into strips
- garlic, chopped
- carrots, cubed
- soy sauce, salt and pepper
- Clara Ole Asian Dips n' Dressing
- water
Procedure:
- heat up oil in a skillet, add the garlic and let it cook a bit.
- add the tofu and cook until a bit browned, then add the carrots and cook until softened.
- add a spoonful or more of the Asian dressing, then add some water if the sauce is too thick. the sauce turns a bit white for a while but its okay, the flavor would still be the same.
- season with a dash of soy sauce, salt and pepper to your liking.
- congratulations, you just made a decent meal for yourself. now go and enjoy your hard work! :)
